Make UR Own: Softcover Journal

Make UR Own: Softcover Journal In-Person

In this bookbinding workshop, you’ll learn how to sew your own versatile 84-page book with a wraparound paper cover. The Triple-Dash Binding is a great introduction to non-adhesive hand bookbinding, with exposed stitching on the spine and a wraparound cardstock cover that can be customized with your own drawing, writing, stickers, or collage. Once complete, the book opens flat and is a great option for a travel journal, field journal, or sketchbook that can also expand to allow for collage, leaves, and other taped-in inclusions. No prior bookbinding experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided by the Book Arts Studio. This workshop is restricted to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.
