Pop-Ups Workshop with Artist Colette Fu

Pop-Ups Workshop with Artist Colette Fu In-Person

While most commercial pop-up book publications are aimed at children, the structures used in pop-up books can be transformed into captivating works of art suitable for all ages, from greeting cards to books, to animations, and kinetic sculptures. In this workshop, Colette will guide you through the fundamental concepts and elements of pop-up paper engineering and how to combine basic mechanisms with your artwork and imagination to design complex and engaging pop-up structures. Join her to explore the many possibilities of this art form.

Priority registration will be given to currently enrolled undergraduate students. Faculty and staff may register if there are available seats the week of the workshop.

The workshop will be held in the Book Arts Studio, located on the B1 level of Boatwright Library.
