Intro to Laser Cutting and Pop Up Paper Engineering

Intro to Laser Cutting and Pop Up Paper Engineering In-Person

Are you curious about pop-up paper engineering? Join UR Book Arts for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of creating dimensional cards. In this session, you’ll design and build your own pop-up card using found imagery from discarded library periodicals, along with the studio’s laser cutter and Epson scanner. You’ll learn basic techniques in paper engineering, collage, and digital fabrication, and leave with a unique pop-up creation of your own. All materials and tools are provided—no experience necessary. This workshop is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.
