Risograph Orientation: Zines In-Person
Learn how to use the Book Arts Studio's Risograph duplicator to create a zine sharing information about your experiences, passions, or ideas. Zines are typically described as a self-published, handmade, or small press booklet that is photocopied and distributed in relatively small quantities for the purpose of sharing ideas, experiences, and perspectives, often of historically marginalized or underrepresented subcultures and social movements. The Risograph is basically a digital screen-printing machine, it acts much like a photocopier and has a unique, quirky aesthetic, perfect for zines! Join this workshop to share your ideas through this unique medium.
This workshop is intended for currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students only. Space is limited to 8 students and registration is required. Faculty interested in learning more about the Riso for use in classroom instruction should email bookarts@richmond.edu.
