Letterpress Orientation: Booklet Printing

Letterpress Orientation: Booklet Printing In-Person

Letterpress printing is a relief printing technique used to create books, prints, posters, and so much more. In this workshop, we will explore the studio and learn basic Letterpress techniques and how to safely use the Vandercook printing presses. We'll work collaboratively to create an eight-page fold booklet design using the studio's collection of wood type, metal type, and cuts (pre-made imagery.) Each person will come away with a few copies of our unique letterpress printed booklet and instructions for how to fold them once the print is dry.

No prior experience is necessary and all materials will be provided by the Book Arts Studio. This workshop is intended for currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students only. Space is limited and registration is required.
