Colette Fu - Artist's Talk (Boatwright Library Adams Auditorium) In-Person
Philadelphia-based artist Colette Fu received her MFA in Fine Art Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003 and soon after began devising complex compositions that incorporate photography and pop-up paper engineering. Her pop-up books are part of esteemed collections, including the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Getty Research Institute, the Library of Congress, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and many private and rare archive collections. Fu has received numerous awards, including a Philadelphia Cultural Treasures grant, a Forman Arts Initiative Artworks Grant, a Joan Mitchell Painters & Sculptors Fellowship, the Meggendorfer Prize, and a Fulbright Research Fellowship to China. In addition to her artistic practice, she teaches pop-up courses and conducts community workshops internationally.
