Pop-Ups Workshop with Artist Colette Fu In-Person
While most commercial pop-up book publications are aimed at children, the structures used in pop-up books can be transformed into captivating works of art suitable for all ages, from greeting cards to books, to animations, and kinetic sculptures. In this workshop, I'll guide you through the fundamental concepts and elements of pop-up paper engineering and how to combine basic mechanisms with your artwork and imagination to design complex and engaging pop-up structures. Join me to explore the many possibilities of this art form.
Registration is required and is restricted to currently enrolled undergraduate students. For more information about this workshop, email jthomas8@richmond.edu.
